Computer Robotics Club

LAMC students develop records of community service and leadership while
completing a certificate or degree as part of their academic studies,
easing the transition from school to work. Participation is focused on ASO certification creating
and planning three events. The club then advertises the
events at weekly ICC meetings as plans them at the weekly club meetings.
Certification
The club and its officers must complete a club packet and submit it to the
Associated Student Organization at LA Mission College each year.
Aves Scholarships
Twenty five thousand dollars is distributed each year, usually in $500 increments. Often
there is unclaimed money is left undistributed. Of the several club scholarships submitted in
2004 all were granted. Submission is in October and November and the award was granted in March.
Siemens Summer Internships
In the summer there where six club participants who went to the 100 hour
internship to work in groups and create a resume. The internship happened in
a classroom at Trade Tech, students were paid $6.75 an hour.
B.A.S.I.C.s
The first Building A Solid Inventory of Career Skills will occur Wednesday April 6th at 11:00a.m.
in Bungalow 8.
